FIREBAT
Much faster than what I expected. The first flight needed
100 yards of runway (probably due to the additional landing gear which was
pushed way back 2" after the C.G.) I took off great, but, I forgot I had
over-steering on the ailerons (± 15mm), so I started to freak out a bit. I
did not want to pull up too fast either, in order not to stall, so I was
only about 40 feet off the ground.
On the second turn, to approach the final leg, I forgot to
pull the elevator up to turn the plane (I regarded the plane as a trainer
by mistake), so, I crashed. No mayor harm done. I will be ready soon.
The place for the flight was Yosemite Lake. I did find it
a bit too small for the speed of this plane.
